Is the conference taking place in person?

Yes, this conference will be a fully in-person conference at the Starhotels Majestic hotel in Turin, Italy (C.so Vittorio Emanuele II, 54, 10123 Torino TO, Italy).

The venue is fully accessible.

How much is the conference participation fee?

To enable the conference to be as accessible to as many people as possible the following conference participation fees apply: 

€320 for non-members coming from high GDP countries

€270 for EASPD members coming from high GDP countries

€170 for non-members coming from low GDP countries*

€120 for EASPD members coming from low GDP countries*

*Lower GDP countries**:

Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo***, Latvia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine.

**Countries with a GDP up to 85 according to Eurostat. For non-EU countries, the data is extracted from the World Bank.

*** This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.

What is included in the conference participation fee?

The conference fee will include access to the activities within the conference programme, including the panel and workshop sessions, lunches and refreshments on 20-21 October, and a conference dinner on Monday 20 October.

 Can I register for only one day of the conference?

 No. Every participant has to register for both days, regardless of which workshops they will attend.

 Do I have to pay the full fee if I only want to attend one workshop?

Yes. It is a two-day event, and you will have to pay the whole fee, regardless of how many workshops you attend.

Can I purchase tickets on arrival at the conference?

No. The tickets have to be purchased online beforehand. Please note that we only accept payments by card. 

Will EASPD pay for the hotel rooms of participants?

No. All participants will have to book their own accomodation.

Can external guests participate?

Yes, this event is open to all.

Where will the Conference Dinner be held?

The official conference dinner will be held on 20 May at Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi.

What is the currency in Italy?

National currency in Italy is the Euro (EUR), with 1 EUR = 100 cents. Credit cards are widely accepted across the country, including restaurants, hotels, bars and shops. The credit cards accepted are indicated by the logos displayed on the exterior facade of the respective business (usually on the entrance door).

Which plug types are used in Italy?

In Italy, the standard electrical supply is 230 V at 50 Hz. The common plug types are type C, F and L. Types C and F have two round pins, while type L has three pins in a straight line. If your device uses a different plug type, such as a flat or rectangular pin configuration, you will need a suitable plug adapter. Additionally, if your appliances are not rated for 230 V, a voltage converter may be required to prevent damage.

Pharmacies are available near the conference venue. Most are open between 08:30 and 21:00, with a different opening hours schedule for weekends and public holidays.
