Starhotels Majestic is a centrally located 4-star hotel, directly across from Torino Porta Nuova train station, one of the city’s main transit hubs. It's ideally placed for arrivals by train or metro, with numerous bus and tram lines nearby.

You can arrange your transporation to and from the conference venue with other participants via our EASPD travel platform. 

Accommodation

Each participant is responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements. To help you in making these arrangements, EASPD has partnered with the app Revolugo as its official travel agency partner.

Transport

Participants are responsible for making their own arrangements for transportation. Arrange your transporation to and from the airport and conference venue with other participants via our EASPD travel platform. 

By Plane

Participants can arrive at Turin Airport (TRN) or Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP).

Arrivals to Turin Airport (TRN)

The airport is at 16km from the cityand there are different connections: 

  •  Train:
    • Take the train from Caselle Aeroporto to Torino Porta Susa Station (30 min). From Torino Porta Susa, Metro or local buses connect to the conference venue. Price 3-5€. You can book tickets on Trenitalia or directly at the station.
  • Shuttle Bus (Flibco/Sadem):
    • Sadem buses leave every 15 minutes and cost 7.50€. Timetables and tickets available online.
    • Flibco operates shuttle buses from Turin Airport to Torino Porta Susa train station, or Corso Vittorio Emanuele 131/h which is walking distance from the conference venue (see more in the section below). Price 2.99-5 €.Tickets can be booked online via Flibco. 
  • Taxi Services
    • Taxis are available directly outside the arrivals terminal.
      To request a taxi in advance, you can call: +39 011 5730 or +39 011 5737,or use taxi apps such as Free Now or WeTaxi.

Arrivals to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)

The airport is approximately 140 km away from Turin, with travel time of 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on transport mode. Here the available connections: 

  • Sadem operates direct buses from Malpensa Airport to Torino Porta Susa and Porta Nuova stations. The ticket costs around 22€. Timetables and tickets available online.
  • By train you can take the Malpensa Express train to Milano Centrale (~50 minutes) and from Milano Centrale, take a Trenitalia or Italo high-speed train to Torino Porta Susa or Porta Nuova (~1 hour).
  • Taxis are available at both terminals at Malpensa. However, this is a more expensive option (~€200+ to Torino). Private car services can be pre-booked for groups or individuals.
By train

Turin is a nationally and internationally important railway junction and high-speed trains connect it to Europe and to the rest of Italy. The main railway stations are:

  • Porta Nuova (from/to Roma, Milano, Genova, Firenze, Bologna, Venezia, France) - Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 53
  • Porta Susa (from/to Roma, Milano, Firenze, Bologna, Venezia, Spain and TGV from/to France) - Piazza XXVII Dicembre, 8
  • Lingotto (intermediate stop from/to Roma, Genova, Firenze) - Via Pannunzio, 1

Entry visa

The Schengen states have jointly agreed on which citizens are required to present a visa. Each Schengen state decides which passports and travel documents it accepts from different people from different countries. Kindly check your entry requirements before booking your travel.
